Police reported that a CEO of an online shopping company named Vivek Gaur was apprehended on Wednesday in connection with fraudulent activities. The company, based in Gurgaon, Sector 54, garnered investments from various small businesses and investors both in India and overseas. Operating by sourcing materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR region and issuing checks in return, the company later declared insolvency and ceased operations. Allegedly involved in five cases of deceit, the CEO co-founded the company in 2011 alongside a partner, who served as the COO, specializing in online retailing of clothing and accessories.
